This presentation introduces a new generation heavy vibroseis. We discuss design modifications, which have resulted in a vibroseis that outputs greater force in the low frequency range while reducing the acoustic noise generated by the vibroseis. Included are examples of how this new generation technology is impacting acquisition results and allowing operators to modify sweep design for more productive projects.
Improving the vibrator ground force on sandy surface in Middle East desert environments

This presentation explains the issues surrounding vibroseis performance on sandy surfaces, the phenomena of ground resonance and the impact on force output.
