INOVA Geophysical's Upcoming Presentations at the 2022 EAGE Conference

June 6-9, 2022 | Madrid, Spain

INOVA's Principal Scientist Zhouhong (John) Wei authored two white papers focusing on the latest developments in vibroseis affecting data quality, productivity and solutions for common issues faced in the Middle East. Chief Geophysicist Jason Criss will take the stage to present these findings and join other leaders in the geoscience and engineering industry. Register today to watch these two presentations detailed below either online or in person.

Additionally, INOVA will be in booth #850 demonstrating its latest products on demo, including HyperQ, NEUROtec and iX Studio.

A new generation of low frequency vibrator improves data quality and acquisition productivity

Zhouhong (John) Wei and *C. Jason Criss, INOVA Geophysical

Tuesday, June 7, 2022, 3:15pm-6:15pm, Room J

This presentation introduces a new generation heavy vibroseis. We discuss design modifications, which have resulted in a vibroseis that outputs greater force in the low frequency range while reducing the acoustic noise generated by the vibroseis. Included are examples of how this new generation technology is impacting acquisition results and allowing operators to modify sweep design for more productive projects.

Improving the vibrator ground force on sandy surface in Middle East desert environments

Zhouhong Wei (John) and *C. Jason Criss, INOVA Geophysical

Wednesday, June 8, 2022, 9:30am-12:30pm, Room A

This presentation explains the issues surrounding vibroseis performance on sandy surfaces, the phenomena of ground resonance and the impact on force output. We offer a practical solution to the issue, which modifies the weighted sum ground force model and shows how this modified model interacts with the vibroseis controller.
