INOVA to Supply Equipment for Largest Nodal Acquisition Project in Mexico

Feb 02, 2021

INOVA Geophysical recently completed delivery of 83,100 Quantum® nodes plus ancillary equipment and hit a new record for the largest nodal acquisition project in the Americas.

INOVA continues to expand its dominance in the nodal market worldwide by outfitting some of the largest nodal crews in the seismic industry with its latest contract for Quantum, INOVA’s state-of-the-art nodal system.

Despite the challenges on this project, Quantum offered the ideal feature set to be able to overcome the difficulties of the area. For this demanding job, some nodes are suited with geophone string connections for low-lying areas common to flooding. All the nodes are also equipped with wireless QC capability through INOVA’s iX1 system allowing the users to have visibility over the health of the equipment to ensure minimized down-time. Wireless connectivity also enables the user to locate nodes that may be hidden from plain sight or purposely buried, via the node-finder feature.

“INOVA’s Quantum nodes and iX1 system are the perfect fit for a project of this size,” said Carey Mogdan, INOVA’s CEO. “From easy, lightweight deployment to wireless QC checks, the Quantum nodes and iX1 system require less manpower and are the most reliable for complex seismic undertakings. We’re thrilled to be expanding our reach in Mexico as we continue to focus on providing the best product in the industry backed with a first-class customer experience.”
